HI Dave,

The manifold has been coated with the tagnite, basically a magnesium anodization process.  The damaged portions have been prepped and a hi-temp magnesium-friendly epoxy has been used to paint the inner walls of the 2 coolant passages (they are about 5" long, maybe 1.25id) with a protective coating.  At the recommendation of the guy who designed, engineered, and built the engine, he's going to a straight EG product, since that's what they planned for and used in the test cell.  Finding a totally non-aqueous straight EG coolant is problematic, as virtually all of the commercial mixtures have some volume of water.  Still, he's going to use DexCool, as it is what they used at the factory when the engine was built.

I'll try to get a package put together for you before the end of the week and will let you know what the shipping works out to.  Paypal is fine... the address is receive payments through over there is marv@lancair.net.

Thanks Marv, that's nice of you to do that.  2 gal will be more than enough
to fill my system, but I wouldn't mind having a 3rd gallon around for extra
 in case I need it.

But before you send it off, what is Ted going to do?  He can't go to
something with water because of the Magnesium.  IMHO, you just need to
increase the capacity of the cooling system so you can't get the coolant up
 to 240 anymore.

Anyway, still glad to have the NPG+ if you sill are willing to send it.  Let
me know how much you want for shipping and how you want it (paypal works
 well for me).

 Thanks again!

Dave...

How much NPG+ do you need for your coolant system?  We just
pulled the Eagle
off of Ted's airplane and he has given me the NPG+ that was
removed.  If you'd
like to do the testing I can save you some money, I know Evans
gets $22.50/g
or so for the product.  I'll send you enough for your coolant
system for the
cost of packaging and shipping (from zipcode 32751).  Let me
know.  The stuff
only has about 4 hours on it, looks like new.
