Before assembly of the pan make a =B3dry run=B2 assembly. My oil pickup was hitting the bottom of the pan, I had silicone all over, and it was drying fast. You get the picture. Did you extend the oil pickup tube 1/2"?  = I originally left mine the stock length, so I had to leave the dipstick stoc= k as well.  That kept the relationship between the pickup, and the dips= tick markings the same.   Now that I have = the pan off, I'm going to make a 1/2" spacer to lower the pickup, as I = should have done originally.  Then of course I'll have to cut off the d= ipstick tube 1/2".  Just one of the little good things that will c= ome out of this mess.

Hi Rusty. I made 1/2” spacer for the oil pickup and than cut 1/2̶= 1; off the dipstic tube too. Before assembly of the pan make a “dry ru= n” assembly. My oil pickup was hitting the bottom of the pan, I had si= licone all over, and it was drying fast. You get the picture.
