Hi Steve, As I mentioned to Dave, you can only change the dipstick level mark if you also extended the pickup tube by 1/2" when you installed it. If you didn't extend the pickup tube, you need to leave the full mark where it was originally. This is what I did originally, and always regretted not extending the tube, because you're just carrying around oil you can't use. When I put it all back, I'll make a 1/2" spacer to lower the pickup tube to match the pan, then I'll do as Dave suggested and cut a half inch off the dipstick tube.
