I've got about 12 hours on the engine since overhaul, and don't know why I would have a side seal issue now, but who knows. I wasn't suggesting that you have side seal issues Steve. I'm sure you don't. I was joking about how mine blew oil out of the vent after I trashed the engine by losing all the oil.
