Hi All,

A question: what thread sizes are being used for
coupling to remote oil filters?

The reason I'm asking is that someone had commented on
the filter bypass block I put up last month.  So I made
a set of "blanks" that could be finished in a variety of
ways per the suggestions/requests I got.

The block pictured isn't finished (as you can probably
tell from the Dykem still present), but is set up as a
diverter rather than a bypass. The inlet and outlet of
this piece are currently drilled for 1/4" NPT, but not
yet threaded.  It could easily be converted into a bypass
block with two sensor ports merely by drilling through
between the existing inlet and outlet. The most forward
blank face (in the photo) can be drilled for an additional
port for a pressure or temperator sensor, and there is room
to put more taps in on other faces.

I'm still working on the 120* filter adapter that I
ultimately intend to use on my COZY.

Of course, those of you who are running engines built
by BT can't use any of the above, since the filter mount
pad is no longer there.  I have some ideas for that, too.

Dale R.

Dale, my block is tapped 1/2" NPT for the large feed hole and 1/4 NPT for
the PSRU feed line. I also have the 1/8"x 27 NPT port for the oil temp.
