If you let them know that the oil cooler is not for a certified airplane, they will not charge you as much. I paid about $112 to have mine cleaned and pressure tested. Here is their web site. http://www.oilcoolers.com/overhaul_service.htm -----Original Message----- From: Rotary motors in aircraft [mailto:flyrotary@lancaironline.net] On Behalf Of Joseph M Berki Sent: Friday, January 07, 2005 6:07 AM To: Rotary motors in aircraft Subject: [FlyRotary] 2nd gen oil cooler I assume that builders are using coolers out of a salvage car. Is there a=20 facility that cleans and tests these coolers? If the oil is not changed regularly some of the coking due to crankcase oil injected into the=20 chambers could find its way to the cooler. What's a good price for a=20 useable 2nd gen cooler? I am looking for one as the one I have looks like=20 it was in heavy off road use. Thanks for any help.
