Since this fitting is a straight thread, not a pipe thread, how is it
sealed.  Is thread compound all that's needed, do I need a copper
washer, or something else?

Actually, my question was "what is the metric thread on the front
cover oil outlet".  I found it in one of my old posts.  It's M16 x
1.5, and I already have the appropriate adapter on order.   Thanks,
