Hi John,
You are absolutely correct, professional drivers (holding the Commercial
Licenses) are undoubtedly much less of a road risk than just about every
other category of drivers on our highways. A poor selection on my part to
indicate highway risk - perhaps, drivers with cell phones in ears, putting
on make-up, teenager drivers with distractions, DUI types, etc., would have
been a better choice. {:>) Probably picked on Dump Trucks simply because I
pass a lot of them on the way to the air patch and realize should I meet one
(what ever the cause) the odds of favorable out come on my part is not good
{:>)

Subject: [FlyRotary] Trips to airport
Ed; I got a chuckle out of the seniors and the dump trucks. I started
hauling gas and diesel in l946, finished hauling equipment in l998. In
Michigan I hauled double trailers with up to 40 yards of gravel. I never
had an accident but at different times I gave some juniors messy drawers
who
wanted to play chicken with semi's. Watch out for them crazy's on the way
to the airport. JohnD Don't Archive.
