Here are a couple of photos of the one way valves I found for use in my
EWP tests. These are Stockman model B-320TC valves with Teflon seats.
There is a flap that pivots as shown in the first photo. When water is
flowing in the correct direction, the flap is pushed completely out of
the flow path. In the second photo, I've tilted the valve so that the
flap is hanging about 1/2 open. The flap is gravity operated only. There are no springs to close the valve so it won't work upside down.
The valves are rated at 120 PSI at 450 F, so should be quite adequate
for the application. I got the 3/4 NPT size to match the AN-12 fittings
without restricting flow.
