Greetings,

I've spent more = time than=20 you can imagine thinking about what I was going to do with the RV-3 this = week.  The whole experience was scary enough to want to abandon the = project, and that was the easiest decision.  I even had two guys = that were=20 planning to come here this weekend to look at the airframe.  There = was even=20 another guy who wanted it, but his wife wouldn't let him buy = another=20 non-flying plane :-)   I won't embarrass him by mentioning his = name...=20 unless he pisses me off :-)

Anyway, the = more I thought=20 about taking everything apart, the more I realized that I can't abandon = all the=20 work that I've put into this project.  I still may want to put the = engine=20 into an RV-8 some day, but I've got a lot more experimenting to do = before I'm=20 ready for that, and it's pretty hard to experiment without a flying=20 plane.

My plan is = to start putting the airframe back together this weekend, which = will make=20 it easier to move out when I get evicted from the hanger.  At that = point,=20 I'll probably leave it alone until I get my hanger repaired, and get = back in=20 it.  In the mean time, I'm going to give serious thought to what I = want to=20 change to improve safety.  I may even abandon the evap cores for = water=20 cooling as well.  I just don't trust them anymore.  This could = be a=20 long process, and I may even wait until the Slingshot is flying = again=20 before getting back to work on the RV-3.  It will fly again = though. =20
