Greetings,

As I ponder = what I might do=20 differently "next time", I have to wonder if I might not consider an = Ellison=20 throttle body rather than EFI.  I had one of these on my RV-8, and = it=20 worked beautifully.  It's simple, reliable, had great throttle = response,=20 and good mixture control.  It also only requires 5-6 psi of = fuel=20 pressure, and no return line (usually).  The downside is the cost, = which is=20 about $1650 for the EFS-4-5.

I don't = personally care for=20 traditional carbs, and the Ellison is certainly not a traditional = carb.  As=20 well as it atomizes fuel, and as controllable as the mixture is, I can't = see why=20 it wouldn't produce as much power as the EFI system.  =

Has anyone = tried one of=20 these on a rotary?  Any thoughts on the = subject?

Cheers,
Rusty (getting = nervous=20 about high pressure fluids that burn)
