I was in the process of tearing down engines 2 and 3, to blast the housings, then transport them up to the airport (essentially so I could move all my tools up there too and not have to transport em back and forth....).. and I finally gave up and bought a 3/4" drive impact from a pawn shop.. three times has heavy as the CH one. Put it on, set it on the lowest setting, and a single one second pull spun off the nut. HALLELUJAH!

If you get stuck in the future, Dave (and you don't have access to the large impact wrench) try leaning on the nut a bit and giving it a light tap with a hammer.
