Hi Tom,
The oil pump wasn't removed during the last rebuild. I'm not sure what was
done on the first build. In any case, I always crank until I have oil
pressure before starting after changing oil. I doubt this is a problem.

I just got a copy of the 13b manual which shows tear-down,
inspection, and
re-assembly. During assembly it stesses that the oil pump should
be filled
with oil before installation. This probably isn't a factor but I'm just
curious, was this done?
