By the way, how are the oil temps? Bryan Thanks. The oil temp hit 203 by the time I throttled back at around 3000 feet. I reduced power enough to maintain that temp, and was still climbing at 2000 fpm. Full throttle at 5500 feet held around 200 degrees, and only 6600 rpm. I'm pretty confident that my next changes to the scoop are going to take care of the problem, but I just want to finish the phase one time once and for all. I tend to like to tinker more than fly, which partly explains why it's taken more than a year to fly off 40 hours.
