There appears a slim chance I can get out on Friday - always assuming the weather forecast is correct. So its looking at bit problematic whether I am going to make it at this point - keep your fingers crossed and I'll rub the rabbits foot. > --------------------------------------------------------- > > Ah, come on Ed. If we can drive from S Florida (4-5 hours)to hear your expertise, you can drive 5-6 hours from S Charlotte to the flyin. > > Just get in that car friday afternoon if you can't fly and you'll be here around 10-11pm :>) > > Bernie > DRIVE? Did you say DRIVE?. Drive 6-7 hours on interstate highways with 18 wheelers, SUVs, construction zones and senior citizens?( not to mention the bears) Drive? you say. I consider the 10 mile trip to my air patch the most hazardous part of any trip and you want me to drive 350 + miles? Do you think me daft?{:>) (no response required on that question - after all, I do fly a rotary powered experimental aircraft ). Come to think of it, I have not driven over 50 miles one- way since 2001. Yeah, Ok, Ok - I admit it, I am really spoiled by being able to hop in my own aircraft and fly to destination and my hat is truly off to those of you who drive much longer distances. I can vaguely remember what those trips were like, but thankfully most of the details have faded from memory. In any case, I am betting that the weather is going to provide an opportunity for a launch between now and Saturday - if it does not - then I will seriously consider the (Ugh) alternative. {:>) Ed Anderson .
