Attached are a couple of photos of my lower cowling. It is minus 2 small
armpit scoops, and plus 2 larger scoops. The scoops are about 25 sq in
each, and the pilot side will feed cooling air to the oil cooler. The
passenger side scoop feeds the intercooler and also provides engine intake
air. The main scoop, now feeds only the 2 A/C evaporator cores for coolant.
I took the lower cowling to the airport today for a fitting trial, and to
make a template for the plenum for the oil cooler. As you can tell, I'm not
yet finished filling and sanding the mods tot he cowling, but it should be
ready for primer sometime tomorrow.
