They also have a 12-1.5 metric male to AN6 adaptor. You could also run two AN4 lines from the redrive to two of the three engine mount holes and not use a tee.

I would think AN6 would about minimum for the gravity flow drain.

What size is everyone using? The inlet to the redrive is 1/8" NPT and the
exits are two 1/4" NPT.

Perry,
I think the AN-4 fitting could be somewhat restrictive to return
oil flow to the pan......IMHO

That engine mount hole in the center housing is 12mm x 1.5mm thread.

part #9919BFG is a 12-1.5 metric to AN4 aluminum adaptor.
How about just drilling through the iron and installing one of
these? No tapping required.

Paul-
If you’re looking for a new home for your PSRU oil drain; I found it
was really easy to drill through one of the engine mount holes on
the plugs side for my oil return. The existing stud hole sizes are
just shy of the ¼ NPT we need and the holes are above the oil level.
I put my return into the bottom-rear hole (see picture).

This of course assumes you aren’t using the engine mount area for
something strange…like your engine mount ;-)

Hey, Steve....thanks for the pictures. Since I already have the
aluminum plate covering the oil metering pump, it would be easy to
drill and tap that. After hearing what Rusty had to say, I'm not
sure if I might be better off leaving it as is.....Need to ponder
this one. Thanks for taking the time to share your pictures, and I
hope your cooling temps get under control so you can just go fly and
enjoy the fruits of your labor. Paul Conner, 13b powered SQ2000

Hi, Rusty....My 13b has an aluminum plate covering the old injection
pump location. Do I just drill and tap for an NPT fitting in the
plate covering the old pump?

Ooops, I just remembered that I'm actually returning to the turbo
oil drain location on the front cover, and not the injector pump
location. When I took the turbo off, I just made an aluminum cover
plate with a hole tapped for 1/4" NPT.

You don't by chance have an old picture lying around that shows
your plate and/or fitting going into the engine do you?

Amazingly, I don't have a picture that shows it.

My return line presently goes to the oil pan, but to drain the oil,
I have to first remove the PSRU drain line. It would be better to
run it to the oil oil injection location. Thanks for the info.

I ran my oil drain to the oil pan plug location on the original
engine. This violates the rule of returning oil below the level of
oil in the pan, but it worked fine. Having to remove the PSRU drain
line to drain the oil was the best part of that system. I left the
line free, so I could remove it at the redrive, then lower it toward
my catch pan to drain the oil. It was totally mess-free. I miss
that now, especially when I have to drain a little oil to make up
for the pre-mix scavenging.
