I have a new and improved cowl outlet that is letting me cool better in a climb, but I am still limited to about 600 FPM continuous (31"MAP). I know that I need to open up my exhaust (read: bigger turbo) before things will really improve. Also, one of these days I will get serious about exploring the 40's (40"MAP had higher) with some high octaine gas and a knock sensor. Had a great day of flying today, and starting my IFR training next week. Dave Leonard Nice find Dave. Is your engine ported? 1800 is still about the best I can do for idle, which is OK, but eventually, I want to try to get that down some. My engine is ported, so I wonder if the idle will ever be good at 1000. Certainly not my biggest problem at the moment.
