I heard that 1 out of every 5 insured homes in FL has filed a hurricane related insurance claim this year. For those of you not in hurricane areas, keep in mind that we generally have a separate = hurricane deductible that's much higher than the normal deductible, so these = aren't frivolous claims. In my case, the hurricane deductible is a bit over = $4k, but that's still a bargain when I have about $40k of damage from Ivan. =20 =20 Good luck with Jeanne. Sorry = about the dog, and=20 yet another hurricane.  How about turning that thing North = immediately, and=20 keeping it away from the panhandle :-)
