After installation, I filled the system up with coolant, and ran it for a couple of minutes. It was barely warm, so I opened the header tank back up, and topped it off again. The rain let up for a few minutes, so I pushed the plane out, and taxied it up and down a few times, and also did a short run up to 4500 RPM's. When I taxied back after 7 or 8 minutes, my coolant temperature was still only up to 180. The cores are consistently hot from top to bottom, and also the air purged out much easier. It is amazing how well it works when you're using the entire core, instead of just 25% of it. I can't believe that I messed around with it for a week before getting to the bottom of it. It seems so simple now. Thanks to everyone for the help. Now all I need is some good weather to take it for a flight. We needed rain, so I do appreciate our Florida friends sharing their hurricane leftovers with us, but now I'm getting really tried of the rain. I also have to go out of town for my youngest daughters wedding this weekend, so probably Monday evening will be my earliest opportunity to see how the new cooling set up works.
