Sorry to hear about the leaking core.  These are new units that have been mishandled prior to you receiving them? 
 
Thanks, and correct.  Attached is a pic that shows the dented in tank.  Unfortunately, these particular units just aren't packaged well for shipment.
 
   I recently arranged with an air conditioning radiator shop that if he got any GM cores in that I would take them off of his hands. I will use them for form fit. So far I have three cores which were removed from the vehicles leaking in the same location.  I thought these units were mounted inside of a molded case so no debris could damage them as well as ducting air to and from them.  Could these cores leak because they are mounted incorrectly ( in cars)?  Is there a prefered way to mount the cores?  Thanks for the info.

 
It's not likely that there's anything wrong with the way they're mounted in the cars.  I've got mine mounted using pop rivets through the flat sides, and so far, that's working OK.
