I'm based in Clearwater (Tampa Bay area). I'm fairly sure it's not a good idea to head south. Might get caught by the storm.

After seeing the damage Charley did to planes amd hangars, I'd like to play it safe.

    The roads are filling with those escaping the storm.  I expect hotels
and motels to be filling as well - hurry...!

    No guarantees that Venice won't get hit as well - that storm has mind of
it's own.
