 Ok,  I thought we were talking about the Mistral Rotary engine installed in a Piper at Embry Riddle.  Lost track of the thread apparently.  If the ATP then burning 14 GPH for 80-90 HP is rather a step in the wrong direction - giving fuel prices today (even JP4).

I think we're talking about the jet engine (ATP).

You'd have to convert the RV-3 to giant scale RC model to carry enough
fuel. Their rep at SNF told me their -4 is burning 14 GPH at 140 mph
(about 80-90 hp).

Isn't their engine flying on a Piper of some type?  140 is probably close to max speed for that type of plane, so it would be much more than 90 HP.
