I don't know about that, I saw somebody's rig the
other day, can't remember who or where, would tell you if could, that had a
scoop on either side that was kind of wide and shallow, like some of them L-39
jets, well, sort of, and it actually looked pretty good. As they used to say
"try it, you might like it."
Actually, my leading
plan at the moment is to make a one piece air box that fits on the TB.
It would smoothly taper into a snorkel type scoop, that would extend through a
hole in the top of the cowl. It would be an RV "shaker" scoop :-)
Best I can figure, this should be as good as it gets in terms of performance,
though looks might suffer a
bit.
