I've had occasions in the = past where I've noted a certain behavior, got all worked up trying to figure = out why it happened, then could never duplicate it again. Is there any = chance you just "thought" the engine got rougher when you turned off the secondaries? Could it have been a coincidence? I know my engine always gets rough when flying low over the bay :-) =20 I can't recall if you said you tried this, but try setting the staging = point up to 18 and see if it still happens. That will make absolutely sure = that you won't be staged at near idle. I think this would be the first thing = I'd try. =20 =20 My thought (guess) is that the EC-2 makes a lot more MAP measurements = than it reports to the EM-2. If the intake pulsation is causing the EC-2 to = see wildly changing numbers, it might occasionally go above 15, which would stage the injectors intermittently.
