Its size is about 4.5"x4.5", or 20.25 sq in. I wish that the scoop was larger, but John Slade seems to be getting good cooling on his, so I am hoping that mine will as well. I still have to connect the hoses, and a couple of the fittings should be here today, or tomorrow. I hope to do ground testing this week, and hopefully a test flight by the weekend. Thanks for the compliment. The oil cooler inlet duct looks a bit small - but hard to tell from the angle. I presume its on the order of 20 -24 sq inch? I see you have it situated where the tanks meet in the center which would probably be an area of higher pressure given the solid tanks blocking flow to the rear in that area. The oil tank has a better plenum than I have on my oil cooler so will be very interested in seeing how it goes. Very neat work Ed Ed Anderson RV-6A N494BW Rotary Powered Matthews, NC ----- Original Message ----- From: "Steve Brooks" To: "Rotary motors in aircraft" Sent: Sunday, August 22, 2004 4:51 PM Subject: [FlyRotary] Getting there > My new cooling system is coming along.
