Still working on revisions to the cooling system. I hope that this one is the final version. Getting rid of the big radiator, and going to 2 evaporator cores. I can mount them pretty easily, in line with the air flow. I'm hoping for allot less back pressure, and lower temperatures. I had to remove the engine, because of a restriction in the oil return for the reduction drive. Since I had to pull the engine, and remove the oil pan, and front cover, I went ahead and gave it an overhaul at the same time. I had bought the engine with low mileage, and decided to do the initial flight testing the way it was, since the compressions all looked good. After tearing it down, I found hardy any wear at all in the engine. There was also no sign of any issue with running high temperatures, especially on the initial flights. All seals were in tact, and in excellent shape. At least the new seals are higher temperature than the old ones, so I shouldn't have to worry about it. The reposted emails have some photos of the new cooling arrangement. I was hoping to do some ground testing this weekend, but it looks kind of iffy now. I did another "fitting" on the plane, and I found out that I had a couple issues requiring modification, so if I get a chance to run it at all, it will probably be on Sunday. Steve, I got that one, but I don't remember seeing other messages from you. The list has been ticking along just fine. What's new?
