I found one on eBay (how simple), but neither the
flywheel or the counterweight have splines.  How is
the engine output tied to the gearbox?  What I have
uses the splines in the clutch plate.

Tracy includes a dampener plate, which bolts to the flex plate using 4 bolts.  Those bolts are surrounded by rubber rings, that dampen the pulses.  The plate has spline in the center that mate with his input shaft. 
 
BTW, thanks for the link to the rotorglider <g>. Neat engine, but I just have to doubt it's available, or affordable.
