Rusty,
I don't recall the actual shaft diameter, but the ND (GEO) is smaller than the Mazda.  If you're interested in saving money, you might check into the Prelude alternator pulley.  I got a set of stock Prelude pulleys off of ebay and only used the p/s pulley (the alt pulley didn't fit), so I gave the alternator pulley to Bob Darrah for his 3rd gen alternator.  It is larger than the Mazda pulley and fit perfectly.  I'm pretty sure that Honda wouldn't charge as much as Mazdartix.
