Ed, I have searched all my engineering books but nowhere could I find a
conversion from degree Fahrenheit to feet.  Just how many feet do have to
raise that pound of water to equal one degree?

Just nit-pickin' a little, but I think you left out a word or two.  Yes, I
know, we all know what you mean, but years ago, my Physics professor marked
my exact same answer as wrong.
