Got my new conversion C drive from = Tracy=20 today.  Looks great, will start working soon to put it and prop on = the=20 aircraft.

However, after close examination of the = drive, I=20 wish to state that it turns out the RING gear IS Fixed on the = 2.85.  The=20 propeller shaft is driven by the planetary gear housing (which now = rotates)=20  which is driven (of course ) by the SUN gear.  This = arrangement =20 is the opposite of the 2.14 where the ring gear rotates and drives = the prop=20 shaft and the planetary is fixed. The Sun gear drives the planetary = in both cases.

Someone took issue with my earlier = speculation that=20 this was the case with the C drive and not being a gear box guy I = declined to=20 argue the point.   However, in this case, it turns out = after=20 rotating the prop shaft it was clear what internal parts rotated=20 and which did not.  The ring gear does not and the planetary = does (on=20 the C drive).
