The NAPA pumps that I purchased from Tracy were marked Carter 2H26A380 and
the screw in barb adapter was a 5/16-24 thread. I was unable to find any
source of 5/16 to AN6 adapters. I obtained the Earl's 991953 fittings which
came with soft aluminum seal washers. Using a 23/64 drill and both standard
and bottoming 10mm-1.0 taps, I was able to cut several almost complete
threads to match the Earl's fittings. After removing any trace of cuttings
and carefully smoothing the pump face, I installed the fittings using the
aluminum washers and fuel lube on the threads. They torqued up well but I
haven't had a chance to leak check them yet.

Part Number
I've always wondered why almost ALL cars never use AN fittings and their
fuel lines seldom leak. Somehow, with the number of cars on the road
that are fi, I think AN fuel lines are a waste, (if you do it right,
using the right clamps and lines!).
