I thought it would be somewhere over the Pacific by now, but it's still in Oz. Apparently Max sold his VSR testing machine, but his fancy new one hasn't come in from UK yet, so wanting to be certain it was perfect, he sent the turbo to the shop who bought the tester (no extra charge). A VSR spins a turbocharger up to 120,000 rpm with compressed air & checks it for vibration "balance" under simulated load conditions & also checks for any oil leaks. Hopefully it'll be on the way early next week. No big rush. It's way too hot to work in the hangar anyway.
