I'm 220 lbs. and my son is 240 lbs. so putting two heavy people in the seats and staying in the CG envelope was critical under all circumstances. I found an overwhelming number of aircraft that simply wouldn't work for me. And I found none of the short mount configurations would work, not one. Tail type had no bearing whatsoever.
