Claudio -
I believe that Lancair has approved the "320/360" airframe for up to 180 HP.
Any more than that and you're on your own (and truly in the experimental
realm).
The firewall itself does not carry the thrust forces. The triangular chocks
at the engine mount attach locations transfer those forces into the
fuselage.
