Lancair when they sell you an engine will not remind you of the loss of warranty and difficulties in renewing such even if engine is pickled appropriately. A few thousand dollars saved in the price may be a costly affair with an engine out of warranty by the time you fly your project. Continental gave me cold shoulder when I attempted to extend my warranty. Talk about documentation regarding winterizing etc. You have to (besides doing it) prove to them that was done at least every 6 months etc. andres
