I'm not sure what kit number was the first to be able to take advantage of the factory's jigs, but all I know is that I've got number 4 (SN 108) and when I did the builder's assist program in September (2000), not only did they not have the jigs, but our fuselage was still floating in the middle of the Pacific ocean on it's way to Oregon. The rest of the Legacy guinea pigs know what I'm talking about. But I'm not gonna complain (although Buzz can vouch for the fact that I've already done my fair share of that!) - that's the price for being first, and I needed the time to learn the ropes anyway. So when you all see Buzz and me at the airshows (and you're all duely impressed with our planes), just ask him (or my dad) at what point in the building process was I the most aggrivated. If I could hear myself talk in my sleep it would sound like this: "Cradles... jigs... 1.2 degrees, 1.2 degrees... water levels... plumb bob, plumb bob, plumb bob... cut the cradles... what? - the blueprints are all wrong? - what's that? I've gotta do them all over again?... " Yeah something like that. Those are my nightmares. I'm scarred for life. Let's hear it for building jigs! :o) Aaron May __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Get personalized email addresses from Yahoo!
