I bought the Airwolf remote mounted oil filter system which locates the filter vertically on the firewall. Seems nice so far. The only other things I have on the firewall are the gascolator, heater valve, and brake hydraulic reservoir. I mounted the fuel pump (high pressure) and filter on the inside of the firewall per Lancair recommendation (less heat) and the starter contactor and voltage regulator are also inside. The oil cooler (9 vane stuart warner unit out of the aircraft spruce catalog) will go in front of the left front cylinder again per Lancair tech rep recommendation (Their turbo 360 has it here and they report terriric cooling). Some of these things arrangements are a bit unusual. What do you guys think? Ed de Chazal Rochester Michigan
