I'm trying to source an adjustable altitude switch that will alert the LNC4
pilot to turn on the low boost as you pass through 10,000 feet. This same
switch will also remind one to turn off the low boost as you descend again
past 10,000. It needs to be a SPDT. I'm planning on lighting a simple
enunciator bulb on the panel. It will come on at 10,000 feet and extinguish
as the Low boost is turned on. The reverse will occur on the way down.
I've found such a critter and am trying to get a sample order going but I
suspect they'll want some exorbitant price unless there is a quantity of
switches to make it worth their while.
Assuming that with a quantity order the price would be reasonable (???) is
anyone interested in joining in?
Possibly someone also knows of a ready "off the shelf" source of this
switch?
Another possibility for one of you "EE" types out there that a simple
circuit could grab the altitude encoder output and look for altitude above
10000 feet.
Any ideas or interest?
