Last year I talked with the project manager, Luc Pelon, who told me that they had 60 hours of flight time on the engine. Unfortunately our talk was cut short, but I inferred that they have some serious, unresolved problems - 60 hours a year does not seem like a full blown test program. A french FBO I visit regularly confirmed my estimation. I wish them all, SMA, Zoche and TCM, success and many engines sold, but since my initial enthusiasm in 97 I have become skeptical about "certification next year". Next year is always in the future. When they start saying in 12, 18 even 36 months, I may be able to revive my interest.
