Some have expressed an interest in the tank that John Forker and I built for
his plane which John ferried from New Zealand to California.  I prepared a
text description (MS Word file), sketches (JPEG files) and took some
pictures (also JPEG files) which I sent to Marv's personal site so he can
post them on the LML site in the next several days.  Sent as an email it has
a total of about 10 attachments, and so may overload some mailboxes.

If you want a paper set of the building directions, please send me a self
addressed stamped envelope (2 stamps please, lots of paper) to

and I will return a copy of the document courtesy of Kinkos.

Additional note: the construction methodology is applicable to any aircraft,
but dimensions are provided for the Lancair IV.  Instructions are also
provided to show how you can vary the design for different tank capacities.
BE VERY CAREFUL ABOUT AFT CENTER OF GRAVITY WHEN LOADING A LOT OF FUEL IN
THE BACK SEAT OF THE LANCAIR IV.   I have been told that it is no fun to fly
outside of the envelope - definitely not suitable for IFR or night flight,
and too much for the autopilot.
