I removed the through bolts in my prop Saturday so I could mount my spinner
back-plate and found that the factory bolts were worn down to the steel.
this is a new prop that has never been run. the longer bolts supplied by
Lancair would not fit in these tight holes.

when I measured the factory bolts, they were .369 OD at the worn area. the
new bolts are .370 and will not go through by any means.

I was going to get a .370 reamer and clean out the holes, but I am worried
that the holes are tight for a reason. have any of you had this same
problem? was there any slop on the holes when you put you spinner plate on?

thanks - Scott
