   When I first put the gears in the brackets and
secured them in place, there was some slop - probably
less than 1mm - and the plans instruct the builder to
use shims to correct this later.  Does anyone have any
advise on how close this gap needs to be?  Maybe the
new set of plans will reveal the answer...
