To: lancair.list@olsusa.com X-Mailing-List: lancair.list@olsusa.com Reply-To: lancair.list@olsusa.com Mime-Version: 1.0 <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<--->>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> << Lancair Builders' Mail List >> <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<--->>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >> I'm building a legacy and in the instructions, it calls for a hole 1 3/16" wide x 2 1/2 high to be cut in the center of the aft spar with the top of the hole meeting the bottom of the spar cap. The hole is to be 1/2" to the LEFT of the center line, however, I misread the plans and made the hole 1/2" to the RIGHT of the center line. I called Mark and he said that was not a good thing, because it would weaken the spar, but that it would be okay as long as I didn't do it again. I am basically wanting second and third opinions about whether or not I have critically damaged the spar, as I am very hesitant to simply let this go by without being 110% sure.
