I just put a 320 cowl on my 235. Since the 320 cowl is wider (2") than the
235 cowl and it is difficult to revise the intake end of the cowl the
finished cowl is not as aerodynamically smooth as the 235 cowl from a plan
view.  It looks fine though from a side and front view on the ground. In my
case I used some of the greater depth (2") to increase the cowl exit area
for better cooling. The cowl has less curve than the 235 but the firewall
fasteners pull it snug just fine. There is a lot more room up front for the
alternater,  starter, and the front valve covers than the original 235 cowl.
