Q-- On the IOF-550 (not the four cylinder), if we lose or unplug one whole
ECU do all six cylinders keep running?

A-- No, If you remove one Master Power Controller (MPC)from the system you
will loose two opposing cylinders.  Each MPC controls an opposing pair of
cylinders ie 1/2, 3/4, 5/6.  You would be surprised how well the engine runs
on 4 or even 2 opposing cylinder pairs.
