Charles Patton indicated that one condition to be concerned about is a
collapsing field with a high load -- Let's see......

The hydraulic pump (landing gear pressure sw) comes on while I am keying the
mike and the transponder is in a reply, the pitot heat is engaged at night
with all the lights on and the flaps are coming down (or the speed brakes are
being deployed) -- The resulting higher transient load during the sustained
high load pulls the voltage down enough to recycle the engine instruments
(VMI) or re-boot the fancy display and pull down the field voltage (I have
had this happen sans the fancy display).
In my all-electric Lagacy, I will stick with high-quality electrical
components, i.e. B&C.
