Hello Jerry,
The best thing you can do regarding the brass screens is...NOTHING. Don't
try to find it and don't put it in. In my opinion the screens are a really
bad idea. Assume that they work and stop some gunk from getting into your
fuel line, now what? You have a screen clogged with debris that you can't
get to to clean. Disconnecting the fuel lines and back flowing might get the
stuff off the screen but its still in the tank. I believe better ideas are:
1: install a flange in the inboard tank rib so that you can install a
removable screen (available from Spruce), or 2: filter the fuel AFTER it
leaves the tank. That way you can get to the filter. If you really want to
use the brass screens and you can't find the material, you can buy the above
referenced removable screens from Spruce and cut the screen away from the
fitting and mount it directly to your pickup tube.
