The air goes out where the empennage is cut out for the elevators. You need
to insure that your baggage bulkhead has a passage for the air to get back
to the tail.

I'm afraid that you will be disappointed with your eyeball vents mounted
directly on the NACA vents. I have flown in a plane set up that way and my
knee covers up the vent. Your knee will get real cold, but absolutely NO
air can get up to your face where it is needed.

On my plane, I mounted the two eyeball vents at the bottom of the radio
stack, connected by SCAT duct to the NACA vent (I have one big one on top
of the header tank off to the left side). Obviously this limits what I can
put above the vents, but it will not be a problem for me - I can't afford
radios anyway <no grin>. I will have room for a 7/8" audio panel, one 1.3"
com radio, one 2" GPS moving map, and side-by-side 1.63" NAV and Xponder
(Terra). Technically, I could install a GPS/Comm in the GPS slot for
redundancy, but I plan to use my handheld for my comm-2 and nav-2.
