Both have running prototypes and Enginair's even has a couple hundred flight hours. Having done one (design an AC engine installation) myself and having closely examined both and grilled the designers I can say that both these designs are well on their way to providing a real alternative to Lyc/Con. It is unfortunate that all too often innovators make such lousy business people (and some are outright frauds). I would strongly recommend that before anyone draw comparisons between these innovators and known frauds that you spend a little effort to study them. On the topic of demonstrated reliability, I would be a little hypocritical to demand thousand of hours of proven performance as I do now fly an experimental, one of a kind, airplane. What's with that? I was visiting a fellow builder and he was expressing his faith in cotter pins and safety wire and distrust in Locktite. Turning to look at his IV under construction I said "Friend, now is NOT the time to lose faith in adhesives." Now is not the time to loose faith in innovators. Oh ya, I almost forgot "Caveat Emptor" to you too. Regards Brent
